I mean, yes, fuck him, but does LaBeouf realize that very few members of the LGBTQ community actually want to?
I mean, in fairness, I might not be a primary member thanks to my status, but I ain't gonna touch that scruffy, unwashed turd with a ten-foot pole.
My man standards are higher than that.

Folks, this is a fairly new-to-me author, but I've finished Six-String City by them and by the gawd of thunder it is one of the most fun things I've read in recent memory.
You can get it at a steal in this sale.
Fans of rock and roll, fantasy, and action should not miss out.
Don't be a skojak. π€

As someone who has been reading the series in order, I fully concur with this statement and so does everyone in the Point of Impact Bullpen.
If anyone in the Bullpen does not agree with this righteously groovy truth, they will be allowed to exit for someplace less groovy.

I've been stuck on this Frenzi chapter for a while until I remembered the advice of Raymond Chandler.
"When your plot hits a snag, have somebody come through the door with a gun."
I write pulp fiction, I should have seen this cure. But sometimes we are too close.
Thanks, Mr. Chandler!

a cartoon of ralph from the simpsons sits in an orange seat
Alt: Ralph Wiggum from The Simpsons is in a school bus and chuckles as he realizes he's in danger.
Really proud of myself for sticking firmly to the three novels I am currently writing without distracting myself with anything new. Three books is enough to be working on at once.

...shit, I just realized I'm not currently writing a novella.

I've had a couple of those and...and yeah, weird is a way to describe it. In my case, it's always been something fairly innocuous and posted without intent.
Honestly not a fan. Viral attention isn't good for my anxiety.

The Longest Way Home by Brandon Barrows
βMina stood on the bridge, looking down at the river. Mist swirled around the banks, making it seem like the shore was moving rather than the water. During the day, it was muddy brown, but now, it...
"The whoop of a siren made her jump. She turned on her heel, pressing her back against the railing. The police cruiserβs passenger window rolled down. 'Everything okay, maβam?'"

"...with superior firepower. But his enemy was behind a solid column and Frenzi didnβt have the ammo to keep him pinned down. If he tried to run for the door, he would be cut down with a single trigger pull. All that was visible was Kelsoβs right shoulder.
And around that shoulder was the bandolier of shotgun shells.
Taking aim while on his belly, Frenzi thumbed back the hammer and took his shot.
The 125-grain .357 magnum round struck the buckshot shell and the resultant detonation was actually pretty mild. Without the metal barrel to direct the force of the explosion, the buckshot blasted out in a weak cloud. But it blasted upwards, toward Podeskyβs face, and it was immediately joined by a couple additional shells, all bursting in a chain reaction.
With a cry of agony, Kelso Podesky stumbled away from the pillar, tossing aside the bandolier as though it were a mad dog.
The exploding shotgun shells had chewed up his arm and, worse yet, sent a small storm of heavy buckshot into his face. The right side had caught most of the blast, the pellets pockmarking his skin with gory cratersβone particularly forceful ball lodging in his eye socket and blinding him. It hurt like hell."
Cover for Frenzi: The Mafia Massacre, featuring a silhouette of John Frenzi holding a Colt Python in front of a bullet riddled car.
This scene was different in draft 1 of The Mafia Massacre. I'd had the exploding shotgun shells blast off the hitman's arm in a scene worthy of a Hong Kong action flick.
...and then learned they just don't do that.
I still like the reworked scene.

Doesn't matter the age, watching De Palma will fundamentally alter a person's brain waves. Better? Worse? Just more sleaze-noir, that's all.
Joe Bob is the warp-master for any an impressionable youth. May he rule in peace forever. π€
