Haven't been in almost 30 years, but check out some of the neighborhood swimming pools. Most around $10 to get in, not at all touristy. And not even sure if the Blue Lagoon is long for this world with the recent eruptions (or the geothermal plant next door).

We are working with a colleague at a HBCU to hire recent grads. No one so far, but we are looking.

So, as civil rights are eroded, where are people sending their money? I'm thinking the Union of Concern Scientists for the defense of science, HIAS for the rights of immigrants, and the ACLU for civil rights. Any other suggestions?

Just saw a great documentary on the anniversary of Krystalnacht. Eva's Promise. About a Jewish girl who lived across the street from Anne Frank, who did survive, but her brother and father died, and she preserved her brother's poetry and art.
