That's not what Angel needs. Husk is so great, and it's wonderful that he wants to protect Angel and stand up for him and believe in him. I love him for it. But what I really want to see is Angel choosing himself, fighting for himself, kicking Val to the curb on his own.

Thinking about that Husk & Cherri vs. Val fight, and how satisfying it was to watch them defeat him, if temporarily. And thinking about how that's a particular kind of fan service — seeing the new love interest come in and vanquish the villain.

But —
