The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Drop Platner and find someone else. I get why he seemed promising, but he’s just not that golden. He doesn’t have to be evil for the tattoo to be a dealbreaker. There’s 7 months still before primary and numerous others ALREADY running. Plenty of time to rally around a better candidate who can win.

Even with platner I think there’s a different person there if he got the coverup a decade ago and then spent the past ten years doing boring but necessary and good work in local elected office. But he didn’t; that’s not who he is.
