CNN newsman Boris Sanchez asking if perhaps President Zelinskyy could have been more deferential!?!? Please. He was being harangued by bullies. We don't defer to bullies.

The color of the day is Golden. Golden sun. Golden honeybees. Golden aconites. Golden crocus.

Today, in a meeting at the White House, the only person actually defending American interests was Zelenskyy.

You don't have to have ever been in an abusive relationship to recognize what that was in the Oval Office yesterday: intimidation, threats, rage, manipulation, gaslighting. These men are abusers who seek to control and dominate through force and intimidation. It ought to make us all sick.

What kind of person opposes diversity?

Let's extend the boycott. We can continue to always make the better choice. I can negotiate with myself more forcefully about whether I can do my purchasing always at the smaller businesses. It's what I've been trying to do all along, but yesterday reminded me that there's always more we can do.

What I find particularly chilling was when the US president accused Zelinskyy of trying to start WWIII. What he accused others of is usually an admission of his own next move.

I denounce and condemn the racism and bigotry of the president and DOD head in their comments that airplane crashes are due to DEI hiring (by which they mean people of color).

My source is Heather Cox Richardson's letter of Jan 27, 2025. She notes that the Biden admin had been sending people in hand and foot restraints until 2023, when Col. negotiated more humane treatment. She also notes that the Biden admin was deporting two flights' worth of people per week to Col.

So it isn't as if Colombian president Petro actually caved to US demands. It's actually more like the US caved to Petro's demands for prior notification of flights and more humane treatment of migrants. The flight that caused the kerfuffle was actually of migrants arrested by the Biden admin.
