I'm 53 and widowed and just now coming out as a trans-woman. I knew what a "sex-change" was when I was a child. The "abuse" is that I was too afraid to tell anyone about the dreams I had where my male genitals went away and were replaced by female genitals....

I like the second standard response as a first standard response.
