Text Reads: Pilkmas 2025. From 19th to 27th of December. we're hosting a charity campaign for Cancer Research Uk in memory of Martin "Pilky" Pilkington. He was a great friend to many, an amazing streamer and programmer who created TwitchMata - a tool connecting Twitch and Unity. Pilky sadly passed away in February this year but his kindness and memory live on.

December 21st is both mine and @cookiejedi.bsky.social 's birthday!! So I'm gonna be running a oneshot of a mystery ttrpg on my channel for Cookie as well as Nix, @chiralis.bsky.social , @camiedrawsstuff.bsky.social , and @conkles.bsky.social

Major takeaways here:
1. HUGE gaps in security allowed a woman to be assaulted
2. Her previous security guard was banned for doing his job
3. Twitch lied to save face after the fact, claiming that the man was escorted from the venue and banned from future events.

Another important thing to note here is that no one on staff came to check on her. Only her own team and friends who were there with her were supporting her after being publicly assaulted. Also her previous security guard was BANNED by twitch for ESCORTING A STALKER BY THE ARM TO THE POLICE /4

This lack of protection for streamers, ESPECIALLY WOMEN, is absolutely inexcusable on the part of Twitch and TwitchCon. I’m not familiar with Emiru’s work but that doesn’t matter because she was assaulted in public by someone who was allowed to get to her due to lack of security. /3

Emiru’s security was very quick to act in getting the man away from her but wasn’t able to escort him from the premises because they had to return to Emiru. Twitch later claimed that he was removed from the venue and banned from future events but Emiru has confirmed that this story is bullshit /2

CW/TW: harassment and sexual assault

Twitch needs to do FUCKING BETTER!!! It is wholly unacceptable to allow someone to pass through multiple security barriers and in front of someone else’s meet and greet in order to assault a streamer. Emiru’s OWN PERSONAL SECURITY had to chase him away /1
