One other clarification - it's not unusual to have different "tracks" where kids take these at different ages. Most commonly, these 3 courses would be grades 9-11 or grades 8-10.

One thing you can do is contact your local school district's social workers (and please give to the poorer districts too if you are in an affluent school district) to see if they are in need of grocery gift cards to give to struggling families especially in light of rising prices and cuts to SNAP.

Ok, gotcha. Personally I have no interest in criticizing anyone for not marching, though I'm glad the crowds were big.

I don't think anyone I know who marched expected to see an immediate result. We have to start somewhere, and I figured marching might do some good and staying home doomscrolling definitely wouldn't. In Portland it's largely about backing those who are opposing him (mayor, governor, AG, etc).

The President is disgusting and a disgrace.
