Isak Rosen had some nice moments in Buffalo and has been lighting up the AHL. If he can develop some playing strength, he could become a middle six winger in the NHL. Has speed, a good defensive stick and an impressive shot.

I know the numbers haven't always looked pretty, but Logan Stanley gives the Sabres a nastiness they are lacking on their blue line. Deployed properly, he can be a useful player. Luke Schenn isn't what he used to be but brings some depth and will be a valuable locker room guy.

Now the Penguins get a shorthanded goal. Bryan Rust forced a turnover in the neutral zone and turned on the jets to get around Buffalo's defense. Sabres and Penguins tied at 1.

Ryan McLeod makes a beautiful play on the penalty kill. Poked the puck by Erik Karlsson and then went in on a breakaway and scores. Sabres up 1-0.
