The mind-numbing hypocrisy of rightly condemning IsraeI’s monstrous crimes, while at the same time minimizing the wanton slaughter of 10/7 at best and outright justifying it at worst, should be too obvious for comment, but sadly isn’t.

For these people, human empathy is zero-sum. Either/or.

Far as long as humans have existed, moral myopia and selective empathy have been our downfall.

This brings back the horrifying and despairing days immediately after the Hamas attack, when it became clear just how MANY people practice the exact selective empathy that leads to atrocities like Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza. Moral hypocrisy at its most grotesque.

Maybe I haven’t read enough of the ‘70s and ‘80s stuff to accurately say this but it always seems like a welcome novelty when Lucy is shown talking with Sally, Marcie or Peppermint Patty.
