Also the sheer amount of archive materials kept on Instagram is overwhelming. I’ve been using it since 2013/14(?) and the idea of this ‘relationship’ that’s been pretty much daily for so long, how it’s manipulated and shaped habits and the psyche. Such a profoundly complex thing

Also wish there was an alternative platform like instagram that prioritised visual content.. I wonder - or suppose the main addiction is just the fact that so many people (artists and creatives etc) rely on it to share work professionally and build these ‘casual’ networks

The hold and addiction that Instagram has nurtured over so many years.. the dependence and the monopoly over all the ways in which we communicate and ‘reach out’ to each other. Would be great if there were some programmes or larger talks about moving off instagram and Meta, collectively
