It turns out the transparency is controlled by shader parameters and normal map blue data, so if i were to sit down and put more effort than just "take normal blue and halve it" i could simulate variant density/opacity across the mesh

to clarify that is a slime core, i have a pretty solid ethos that Omi doesn't manifest any primary (or tbh secondary) sexual dimorphism characteristics. they are simply ooze ^u^

This got me thinking about the older slime mod, and if I could do anything to replicate it, so take this proof of concept material!

And they glow! She can change the intensity of the glow as well as the viscosity of their ooze.
