I haven’t been making art because of a dry sinus infection that started right when I started my blood pressure medication so I thought the symptoms were a side effect. Which was a month before I saw my PCP, who diagnosed the infection. I’m on my second antibiotic because this ish don’t wanna vacate.

Finished new #linocut #reductionprint “Hoog & droog” of this coot high up on its nest sometime in June when the reeds were vibrantly green and fresh. Tried to capture the serenity of that moment. 10 layers, edition of 20. Still line drying, will be signed & available next week.

Thank you! I have taken printmaking courses in college and high school, but that was a long time ago! I always enjoyed it so wanted to create prints again.

The Frasier episode, Three Valentines, where Niles catches his brother’s sofa (a replica of the one Coco Chanel had in her Paris atelier!) and his pants on fire. There were I think only three sets used, and some of the best comedy I’ve ever seen.

Standing atop ruins at the end of the world, an anguished Elric thrusts the runeblade Stormbringer to the heavens. The sky behind him roils with clouds rendered in acidic green. The chainmail on his right arm is torn. He wears a yellow tunic and belts strapped across his waist and chest crusted with jewels. His purple and black cloak billows in the wind. From a leather cord, he holds an ivory horn with ornate swirls of gold. The ruins he stands upon are crumbling, including the face of a skull that is missing a chunk of forehead and part of the orbital. The mouth isn't human given the fangs in its mouth and the horns protruding off the side of the head that is intact. Off to the side, a pterosaur-like creature perches with wings spread.

I hate this wishy washy stage at the beginning of a painting, but I didn’t get enough sleep last night to get much done before I had to run away. Powers of concentration are always crap without sleep, which is why I developed sleep anxiety while I was working and got paid on production #watercolor 🎨

This is a new A4-sized artwork I created for the cover of my art book. It took four months to complete. For me, the paper size is large, and the production period was the longest I've ever spent on a piece.

I disabled OneDrive on my PC and laptop. The goal is of course to make you pay for storage. As soon as my free quantity got used up they started sending me ads for upgrading for a price. So I looked up how to turn it off. I have perfectly good backups that I don’t have to pay a subscription for.
