We came back to Canada in 2017, accepting that our taxes would be higher. Guess what? They’re not. We did a “farewell tour” in winter 24-25 and were shocked that groceries/booze were the same price as Canada — only in US$. Just like leaving an abusive spouse, we’re never going back. 🍁
