Oikawa's mother especially loves to recount that particular summer, that particular version of Oikawa, new and small and reaching. Oikawa can't recall a rainy summer, a rainy birthday, without Iwaizumi. He can't remember handling the heft of a locker room without that familiar hand on his back keeping him steady, either. - Oikawa, Iwaizumi, and the years in between.
