The disturbing reports on the Trump administration’s changes to what constitutes “hate incidents” are dangerous — and similar to what they are doing at our National Parks. It is shameful, and every American should denounce it.

The Republican-led House has been in session for 12 days since August 3rd.

The most unproductive Congress in modern history.

As I made my way to D.C. for legislative session this week, I was deeply grateful to my wonderful wife, Andrea, and our entire team, who carried forward our Vietnam Veterans Memorial event in Longmont.

We are forever indebted to our brave veterans' sacrifice and courage. 🇺🇸

During our Rules Committee hearing, I exposed the outrageous lawsuit provision authored by Senate Republicans for what it is — a disgraceful, self-enrichment scheme.

And virtually every House Republican voted for it.

Steve Bannon allegedly compared the Republican Congress — which capitulates to Trump at every turn — to the Russian Duma.

When the shoe fits . . .

After complaining for years about recesses, Republicans CLOSED the People’s House for an unprecedented 54 days.

The hypocrisy is stunning.

Bipartisan horror at @SenatorHagerty & @MarshaBlackburn’s greedy money grab snuck inside the funding bill— rewarding themselves for getting investigated.

Speaker Johnson claimed Republicans were doing “some of the most meaningful work of their careers” during the House’s ridiculous 54 day recess.

Of course, that did not include in-person town halls.

Republicans were warned that their massive tax cuts for billionaires would explode the national debt. It is no surprise that last week the national debt surpassed $38 trillion, with the fastest accumulation of a trillion dollars in debt outside of the pandemic.

I’m proud to have held 17 public town halls this year — more than most members of Congress in the entire country — including our most recent one in Granby last week.

It is long past time for my Republican colleagues to start doing the same!

From the ACA to the Climate Crisis Committee, Speaker Pelosi built one of the most consequential legislative records in American history. I’ll be forever grateful for her mentorship, and the kindness she showed during my wife Andrea’s battle with cancer.
