I’ve already seen Hoppers during the early access last week, but I wanted to see it again on its first official weekend!

Not only that, but as one of my mutuals @albst3r.bsky.social mentioned, both films just so happen to feature Eduardo Franco, aka Argyle from Stranger Things. In fact, he's the one that plays Loaf (pictured right on the quoted post)!

Rango could’ve been in 3D, but it would’ve added $22M to the $135M cost, and Gore Verbinski didn’t want a cheap conversion. It got released in 2D only, unlike other 2011 CG films.

ILM did 3 scenes in 3D at Paramount’s request in January 2010, which Verbinski called “beautiful.”

Of all the scenes in Rango that were in the extended cut on Blu-ray but not the theatrical version, I wish this little funeral scene were in the theatrical one. It's funny, and it further highlights Rango's awkwardness.

What stood out to me while watching the credits of Hoppers was seeing Josh Cooley’s name in the credits as an additional voice actor.

He definitely still has a good relationship with Pixar even while developing projects at Paramount right now following Transformers One.

#Hoppers is Pixar’s zaniest movie yet! The art style’s distinct, the characters are lovable (Jon Hamm kills it as Jerry), and the themes of teamwork and nature are done in a fresh way. The last act was INSANE. Absolutely wonderful.
