The new Fantastic Four is just as great as I was hoping it would be. It stands on its own with a fantastic story (ha), a fantastic retro aesthetic (haha), fantastic effects (HA), and a sweet (didn’t wanna overuse the word) family dynamic with the team.

I’ve been wondering if Warner Bros pulled the plug on the Hello Kitty live-action/animation hybrid movie after the Discovery merger happened. No updates about this were given since 2021.

They got to throw the debt Warner Bros was given from the AT&T ownership onto the Discovery side.

From my understanding, Warner Bros is the copyright holder of the Cartoon Network programming library, but Discovery controls the network itself and may have the license to the brand from WB as well as those programs.

Universal’s marketing team owes everyone a good explanation as to why out of all the parody posters featuring Mr. SHARK from The Bad Guys, the least creative and cheapest looking was somehow the shark movie one.

James’ (Schaffrillas) Letterboxd review of Smurfs 2025, which reads: “Emblematic of every problem with modern studio filmmaking while also feeling like it should have come out in 2005. It's incredible that executives still think there is enough cinematic potential in the fucking Smurfs to greenlight the third reboot in less than 15 years. Exactly as bad as I was expecting, I just wish it could have been worse since at least then I would have remembered it in a day's time.”

At Universal’s Cabana Bay, they have a milkshake place and on the screen they play a compilation of public domain cartoons, like Casper’s “A Haunting We Will Go” and Felix’s “The Goose That Laid The Golden Egg”. They’re mute, but still pretty neat!

I love how in the eating area, there’s 4 screens that play classic commercials as well as NBC and Universal logos! I spotted an Alvin and the Chipmunks Jell-O commercial and a Rice Krispies one with Woody Woodpecker!

The fact that people are already labeling Hopper as another “bean mouth Pixar movie” when it’s art style is a complete stark contrast to their previous films just only proves how shallow the criticism really gets.

Actually, he put it above 11 Disney sequels in his ranking (both Little Mermaid sequels, both Beauty and the Beast sequels, Mulan 2, Fox and the Hound 2, Hunchback 2, Lady and the Tramp 2, Tarzan & Jane, Atlantis 2, and Brother Bear 2). It’s 16th place out of the 27 listed sequels.

Yes, Superman is awesome. Refreshingly colorful and optimistic, the right amount of cheese, great acting, cool visuals, and in typical James Gunn fashion, will make non-comic book readers like myself fall in love with characters you likely weren’t familiar with.
