Not sure signing another centre-back or two entirely stops that. We need to get more serious about defending as a team if we want to challenge at the top end of this division.

We look bright going forward but it’s not sustainable to need to score 2-3 goals a game to win. Set-pieces are in the spotlight but whether it’s sloppy lapses in concentration or the space we leave behind the defence, we lack the ability to sit on a lead currently.

On the plus side, Victor Torp really showed his quality today with some great passing, delivery and shooting. Mason-Clark was a great outlet down the left too. Those two gave us the edge when others got sucked into the scrap Derby made this.

Some really shaky performances at the back today. Thomas, Dasilva and Van Ewijk made some poor decisions in the challenge that gave Derby hope. Rushworth struggling under the high ball is a worry.
