It's funny to me when people who love to go on about second order effects of economic policies and the challenges of central planning without local knowledge suddenly drop all of that when it comes to foreign policy.

Maybe this is a stupid question. But if Trump keeps killing the next-top leaders of Iran, how does he know who to negotiate with?

But when you see that he's rogue, corrupt, and wildly unstable, and then you elect him again, what you've actually said then is that the political decisions made by the people of the US can no longer be trusted, and that means the US as a whole can no longer be trusted if we elect such people.

Everything Trump has done in his first year plus in office--Venezuela, tariffs, Iran, Cuba, and just the entire tone and culture of wildly unstable reactivity based on personalist whims--has eliminated trust in the US that can simply never be regained. It's one thing to elect a rogue president once.

They went to war with Iran (which nobody in America was asking for) so they could conjure an excuse to allow ICE to keep murdering Americans and teargassing schools here at home with impunity (which nobody in America was asking for).

Good. Driving the price of oil through the roof will cause more folks to shift to renewables. And hasten the battery revolution.

People keep suggesting this war is about hiding what's in the files rather than being entirely in character with and indicative of the callous disregard for life and wellbeing of the vulnerable you can expect to find in the files.

It's not 8 dimensional chess. He's just a global tier dickhead.
