I've been getting back into Godot. I put together a 3D scene you can walk through, generated by code. I started wondering, could it be visible in the editor?

yes it can! I added @tool to the start of the script, saved everything, reloaded the scene and... bingo, the generated scene appeared!

Yes, in racing games of all things! I used to work for a games company that did car racing. I was more interested in the scenery than racing! I heard about god rays for the first time there as well.

finally getting high scores on #balatro after watching some YT videos on what to look for - the difference between +mult and xmult! that and some crazy jokers!

Two of my favourite animes aren't available anymore, so I bought them on BluRay. Death Note and Girls' Last Tour.

Adding periodic table cards, so far metals. There's so many of them!

Now that I've got the bare bones of a poker game, what to do with it? What path to take it down?

Mine had 8192 bytes of RAM. I eventually built a machine myself which ended up with 64K of dynamic RAM before it died. Wish I'd photographed it before dumping it.

both in Free Pascal #freepascal, though the 2nd one uses #raylib

So... use #freepascal and #raylib, I've put together a simple poker playing application (yeah, I'm a #balatro fan!)

Once I replace the paid for graphics with free ones, I'll publish my git repo.

nothing could be more fun that writing code, seeing it in operation. click a button, something happens. I got hooked all those years ago, and never looked back. started talking about it at work, got a cash reward and a promotion. all because I was having fun!

So... working from home, connected to a machine 50 miles away, connected to work 200 miles away. #parsec for the win
