8/ If you are in Canada, Australia, New Zealand or anywhere else and you have noticed your politics getting uglier and more dishonest, this is worth understanding. The same platforms operating with zero transparency in your country are doing exactly what they did for Orban.

5/ In the United States there is nothing like this. No transparency requirements. No limits on using your personal data for political targeting. Same in Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Every serious attempt to pass similar protections has been killed. The same forces keep winning.

4/ Think about that choice. Two options: follow basic transparency rules or stop running political ads altogether. Trillion dollar companies chose to disappear rather than show you who is paying to shape your vote. That is not a business decision. That is a confession.

3/ The EU did not ban political ads. They just said: tell us who paid for them and stop using people's personal data like their fears and political beliefs to target them. Basic transparency. Meta and Google said no thanks and pulled political advertising from Europe entirely.
