1. Disney/Lucasfilm won't admit the truth of why they cancel things or why things don't perform well. The Acolyte had too slow of a buildup within one season, it cost WAY too much and wasn't even close to its quality that the cost should've given us, and the controversy it caused in the real world

The Acolyte was the 2nd most watched show on #Disney+ in 2024. If anyone thinks the viewing minutes was the reason the show got cancelled don't see the entire picture. The show took 2 long to get going, odd in choices, it cost way too much, and too much controversial stuff outside the show #Starwars

On whether people like the character or the ST in totality. If someone tells me they like Rey or the ST I don't bash them. I may have a different opinion but I'll never rip people because they like something I don't

I gotcha. Like I said I don't want to come across as a part of that toxic part of the fandom. I have my issues with the character and the ST as a whole but don't let it become my personality as a SW fan. I've got a take about a PT movie that would blow the Internet's mind so I can't be one to judge

See I don't use the term for her but, and this may sound contradictory, will also say while I'm not the craziest fan of her character I am looking forward to her new movie. I've tried with the ST and I just struggle with finding her struggles as "as struggle worthy" as previous SW main characters

Agree to disagree. I see it as a natural human instinct to compare especially when in Star Wars' case where we compare literally everything else, the plot, endeavors, so on so with having 3 stories within 1 so to say let's not compare characters and their struggles is just unrealistic.

I get it but even her sitting in a destroyed AT-AT isn't what fans want to see as struggling. Yes struggles can be presented differently but if the fan doesn't feel it it's not done well. Plus all of her struggles happen within a year where Luke/Ani happen over years. that hurt her presentation

I don't see her as a Mary Sue but I do understand where people are coming from. Even those things you mentioned about Rey don't seem like "she's struggling" versus that's just how she's presented versus Luke learning who his father is and him losing his duel with Vader. Those seem more "struggling"

Gonna listen to Dark Disciple again just so I can be mad at Dave Filoni for bringing back Asajj Ventress one more time
