it also bothers me that some fans would rather chalk this up to zoidberg "being so desperate for social interaction that he's willing to go gay". please look at how he emotes at the thought of 4 guys' "sweaty naked bodies" and tell me he's not attracted to men.

amy is CANONICALLY bisexual now, something that was hinted at WAY LESS on two(?) total occasions. the woman he hooked up with in attack of the clothes could've been a man. there's even a vague suggestion of something between him and scruffy in otherwise. if amy can be bi, why not zoidberg?

I know futurama is far from the first place I should be looking for good queer representation but it would also be in line with the other approaches to queerness the hulu era of the show has taken. seeing calculon make out with a man was insane fan service for me even if it was also a throwaway gag

I 100% sympathise with frustrations that marianne was erased with no in-universe explanation but if they're going to delete zoidberg's happy ending the they could do at least show him having a relationship with a man. it would be such a good payoff/redemption after years of inconsequential gay jokes

but whenever it's time for zoidberg to have some semblance of romance it's always with a woman. I don't necessarily have an issue with that, given his character it makes the most sense for him to be pan, but it would be nice if we could have larger confirmation of that outside of throwaway gags
