My ancestor Henry Joy McCracken (Scots Irish), was hung in Belfast square trying to unify the Catholic Irish with the Scots Irish in revolt against the UK. Part of the Rebellion of 1798. Kinda cool…

The Scots Irish weren’t the same as the Celtic Irish that went through the Irish Need Not Apply. The Scots Irish had already been here for 100+ years and were part of the group that hated and smeared the Celts.
