No White-rumped Sand tonight, had to leave before the Pec Sand came in, but a magical evening at Snettisham. Reams of Blackwit, Knot, Dunlin, Sanderling etc + 4 Curlew Sand & 2 Little Stint. Walked back with an amazing sunset, swarms of wader wheeling against the sky & a chorus of Turtle Doves

Eventually caught up with Norfolks Night Heron at Stiffkey today, resting with 20+ Spoonbills, also 3 Green Sands. Onto Tichwell where the Curlew Sand eventually woke up, plus a good variety of other waders + a few more Spoonbills. More Spoonbills and Green Sands at Buckenham at dusk #Birds

Also GWE, Whooper Swan, Tree Sparrows etc then onto the Brecks via the odd Corn Bunting. No Xbills but interesting to watch this Whitethroat and Cuckoo. Presumably the Whitethroat was trying to distract the Cuckoo away from it's nest. Continued for about 10 minutes b4 the Cuckoo flew off.

A varied day, first 100s of Silver-studded Blues at Buxton Heath, then missed the Buckenham Smew & Swallowtail at Strumpshaw. A quick trip to Lakenheath for the Caspian Tern, then back to Strumpshaw for the relocated Smew with Bitterns & Hobbies. #birds

Had a lovely hour with the Cley Marsh Warbler yesterday, gave us a bit of a challenge tho. All the time Spoonbills, Great White, Little and Cattle Egrets passed overhead.
