I also want to piggy back here, these are some of my Shorebreeze concepts for Towerborne. Was probably my favourite biome to work on and I'm really stoked with how it came out in the end.

A huge, scarred and glabrous humanoid stands, clad in black, leathery bat wings from his back. The monster joins his long-clawed hands together and looks down with his fanged, scarred visage upon a man in the foreground, looking up to the monster from a cliff. The cliff is covered in a white substance (snow, ash?) that is marked with the footsteps of the man rising over it, and many skulls are buried beneath the surface. The man is much, much smaller than the giant vampire, at least ten times smaller, if not more. A black, cracked ring of metal hovers the towering vampire's head like a halo, and projects light around it in the otherwise black background.

A representation of a Tzitzimitl, an aztec mythological creature akin to a skeletal deity related to eclipse events. Similar to the representation in the Codex Magliabechiano, the creature wears complex headwear filled with severed hands, wears more hands around its neck, and has strange eye-like protrusions in the joints of its clawed, bony body. Behind its headwear, a violet light pours through. In the background, four other shadowy figures, similar to the first, loom, their eyes and headwears faintly shimmering in the dark.

A monstrous version of the Venus of Willendorf, sporting tentacled arms and mouths on her breasts. A giant looks at here from behind, as if crouched over a table where the venus rests. The giant has many skulls as earrings, decayed lips, a plethora of eyes resting in his left eyesocket, and more sprouting in his deformed shoulders.

Second illustration from Cynthia Sheppard’s course at Smarter Artschool. The focus was on showing the story through characters interactions. I struggled a lot with ideas for the second part of the course, but I like what I came up with.

I will be taking the trees into Zbrush and sculpting some detail onto the trees
