If your machine is unstable at idle you can try disabling c-states in the bios.

+1 to give it all plenty of time to dry (days), also disassemble things as much as practical and aim a fan at it. Air circulation + time is the key.

Yeah the collision jitter is really annoying, it is typically most obvious on your own colliders. Also agree it started about a month ago.

For the first couple years I'm pretty sure I Pavlov'd myself to be sad at the index knuckles power off sound. It was what punctuated the void between friends and nothing but the sound of basestations and computer fans. Eventually, I grew past it, getting to see friends at cons probably helped.
