Jamuary Day 30. I’ve always liked the idea of multiple lines going at once rather than some lush chords and then a melody on top. I’ve experimented with a ton more chords and chord progressions this Jamuary but I switched it up for these last couple here.

Jamuary Day 29. ALMOST THERE. I may or may not be more than a few hours late on this one but hey, better late than never. If I had to describe this beat/jam in one word, it would portamento. The end.

Jamuary Day 28. Finally coming full circle back to what I think will be my main setup for a bit. Finally started exploring sequencing the OP-1F with the OP-XY and can safely say it works great.

Jamuary Day 27. I feel like this groovebox is pretty slept on as well, the MC707. Ngl, it dawned on me the other day how legendary this thing actually is. Why? Being as it is made by Roland, it comes with JUNO sounds and all their legendary drum machines like the 707, 808, 909’s.

Jamuary Day 26. Was gonna switch back to my TE setup but ngl, I am enamored by the Elektron setup at the moment lol. Am I resampling too much? Probably. Do I care? Not really. Is this the last question? Yes.

Jamuary Day 25. Shoutout to EZBOT because I agree that this is one of the best setups you could have nowadays. Digitone II and Digitakt II are just straight up beasts and the Octatrack really brings it all together.

Jamuary Day 23. Model: Cycles is by far the best FM synth out there for the price. I was always pretty amazed what Elektron was able to do with this machine considering all of their other ones and their prices. Anyway, keeping it short and sweet and hope you enjoy.

Jamuary Day 22. This is actually KIND OF a continuation of yesterday’s Jamuary, and only because it’s on the exact same tape reel on my OP-1F so to me, they’ll most likely be combined into the same song. Anyway, I’m actually really diggin this combo.

Jamuary Day 21. There is something great about having separate machines for different things. I feel like you have way more freedom that way. I’ve always struggled with settling on a certain setup (as you can probably tell) which I’ve come to terms with.

Jamuary Day 20. The OP-Z was and is still one of the best sequencers ever made. Seriously, the punch-in effects are some of the funnest fx to play with it. This video could have been much longer but once I saw the 3 minute mark, I decided to end it lol.

Jamuary Day 19. Was about to switch to the OP-Z but then I decided to do more on the Seqtrak. Honestly think I’m gonna try to integrate this into my main setup because it just has some amazing sounds on it. Never before have I seen a groove box with so many amazing stock sounds that are ready to go.

Jamuary Day 18. REMEMBER THE SEQTRAK? I sure do and I admit I did not play with it for a while but I am so glad I came back to it.

Jamuary Day 17. Didn’t really have any kind of vision for this one so I just threw paint at the wall. I knew I wanted to add guitar and use a certain bass sound but that’s about it. Was about to do four on the floor but also didn’t want to do that at all so here we are haha, chuggin right along.

Jamuary Day 16. Better late than never, I always say, usually if I’m late to something. The day just caught up with me and if I keep trying to force something, it just doesn’t come out. There is an element of “letting go” to Jamuary that I think is super important.

Jamuary Day 11. Who doesn’t love bass? As much as I love synth bass, I feel like sometimes a song just needs some good ol’ fashioned bass guitar. Sometimes bass guitar and bass synth go well together as long as they are not stepping on each other’s toes.
