Using academic databases through uni libraries (solid unis I know and trust) has been a legit way to research.

I'd know since I've written over 500 papers and have been published a few times.

Wow. In your field everything is legit? The paper may exist but it doesn't mean it is valid. Especially now with huge numbers of fake papers coming from China.
