BL2025-1005: Adds two new zoning types (RN & RL) to the code that could allow for the development of middle-scale homes and enhances design standards for all development.

BL2025-1007: Allows DADUs ("in-law flats" or "granny-flats") in some additional areas.

These bills would reform the zoning code to create new options for gentle density that fit the character of our neighborhoods and prevent some out-of-scale construction currently occurring in single- and two-family areas. Two bills will have a hearing for public comment.

The Housing and Infrastructure Study has four bills before Metro Council for second reading on Tuesday, November 4 at 6:30. You can share your feedback on these proposals with Councilmembers.

Look for us at the District 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 Joint Community Meeting tonight at Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church in Hermitage from 6–7:30 p.m. to share information on the H&I study, the current legislation implementing its recommendations, & answer your questions.
