Close-up abstract detail from a weathered old road sign. The white base color has a network of cracks that show underlying dark rust. There is an arc of faded red over the white paint which is also cracked but in a finer network showing the white underneath.

The red is a layer on top of the white that has finer cracking and stops the cracks in the white. But I don't understand the physics so I'll just enjoy its aesthetics.

Photograph of a pickup truck parked at the side of a road. Towards the rear of the truck the dark blue-green paintwork has fallen off revealing an abstract mix of pink on a black background plus some white flecks and scratches. The lowest section is rusty metal with almost no paint remaining.
