Anthropological studies of hunter-gatherer bones show very little human-caused death. They largely wandered in tribes of around 40 and interacted and intercoupled with other tribes.

It's only when we settled down that borders, food stores and conflict appeared.

It's blind tennis.

Have a great day.

As empty as threatening to annex Canada. Just a distraction from Epstein.

Non sequitur. True up until 'therefore'.

A very simplified note from evolutionary theory: men seek women who will bear and nurture children (hence fascinating with breasts, youth, etc) while women seek strong men who will provide and protect. Women also seek men who will be kind and not turn their strength against the women or children.

And yet, while indeed a major pattern is male dominance, there have been cultures with differing gender roles and dominance patterns.

There's been research on two types of alpha male chimpanzees, one the powerful bully and the other the kind consoler who doesn't hang to fight interlopers alone.

Our leaders are less 'mentally ill' and more morally bankrupt.

It'll be hard. One Trump term looks like an accident. Two terms look like a deliberate choice.

Trust has been flushed away by a President and his Party who has no idea what it's for (other than grifting off).

It'll end up like the Romanian palace built by the Ceausescus.

Sounds like a familiar story there. Academia is stuffed with bias and status games.

Good to see you're fighting back.

There's a principle of 'fair profit' that governments should apply for essential goods such as medicines.

Best example of this is giving the rich kid in the block all the candy and telling him to hand it out to the other kids.

Trump holds Gatsby party while the people starve.

I don't think he's read the book. Gatsby was a crook who made his money through dodgy dealings.

So yes, kind of appropriate.

Trump’s Great Gatsby party at Mar-a-Lago was as badly timed as ever In US president Donald Trump’s latest failure to read the room, the Republican decided to host a Great Gatsby themed Halloween party at Mar-a-Lago on Friday, complete with the tagline β€œa little party ...

Interesting. Thanks. For harmony to work, it has to remove hurt. Many (particularly young) men are feeling painfully powerless in their need to fulfil traditional male roles of provision and protection. They also feel seriously impacted in the status dimension.

Trump thinks MAGA will support him as long as he's hurting the people they hate. What he's missing is they *also* need that he doesn't hurt them.

When MAGA feels betrayed, they will oppose Trump and co big time!

So Andrew Windsor is now formerly known as Prince.

I predict he'll try to recover some of his good name by telling all about Epstein.

He's in too dark a place now to be bribed or blackmailed.

Farage is just a narcissistic Trump wannabe and genZ have got his number.

I'm more worried about the Conservatives, who seem determined to follow Farage down the rabbit warren.

Why is Trump a Republican? Actually, he's not. He believes only in himself.

He dallied with the Democrats, but they were too moral.

Today's Republicans, he found, are easier to bribe, blackmail or bamboozle.
