The Final Chapters of Kai kinda fumble a bit, given that they do the bullshit "remastered widescreen", there's a green filter over it, with the OG soundtrack replaced by the guy who started composing for Super. Filler removed in Kai is 50/50 to me, I like it, but I can live without it being adapted.

Talking about the anime shows in general now. I think Z Kai's pace is much less of a bore fest. Like they tackle something that takes like 4 episodes to get through in 1 sometimes. That's impressive, and it mostly doesn't feel like they cut out too much.

DBZ Kai to me is a lot better given they took fewer liberties and respected the source a lot more. They take tones into account like whispering over battle strategy, and I'm sure there are other examples. Additionally, they stay quiet when necessary. like WOW.

To say something right now. I really don't like the Funi dub for the full series. It talks over a lot of quiet space for no reason other than they think people get bored over 6 seconds of a landscape shot, or quiet tension. And a lot of the line deliveries to me sound terrible.

I'm rewatching Dragon Ball Z twice right now.
