We have to give it time, We're too lucky to even witness the big games like bloodborn or other AAA titles booting on a computer.
And yes, compatability has been getting better with each release. You should check it out on their github.

Modders who make the patches for shadps4 do put those things into account because if they don't, it'll look janky, and the entire game would just run at a higher speed than usual.
So yeah, I hope that answers that.
