This "hearing" on higher ed today that called the CUNY Chancellor to testify on "antisemitism" was appalling, and Stefanik's questions clearly had it in for my faculty and staff union, the PSC. I'm grateful for PSC President James Davis's thoughtful responses, quoted in this article.

I can't emphasize enough how ugly and pervasive and persistent the "Mamdani hates Jews" campaign was. I'm happy that so many Jews stood strong against that vileness. Maybe people will start to understand that we've had it with being treated as a paranoid, easily manipulated single-issue bloc.

Sadly, there are so many examples like this. They also destroyed the NEH and NEA, leaving people and organizations stranded, and it barely made the news.

When I read this I think about the English majors I've advised at my public college who are majoring in English despite their parents pushing them into majors like Comp-Sci because they think it's better for job prospects. They feel so much guilt and anxiety. Saving this for advising sessions!
