The report uses a new, sophisticated model from the US Dept. of Energy to analyze the climate impacts of 5 planned LNG export projects. We found that every one would fail the “climate test,” worsening the climate crisis, in addition to poisoning nearby communities’ air + water.

This is a pressing issue, because Trump is demanding the EU, Japan, and others increase imports of US LNG or get slapped with harsh tariffs. This report offers even more evidence that doing so would be disastrous for our climate.
