What has changed is simple: people are scared of crossing Trump this time. In researching this piece, I interviewed dozens of figures, including lawmakers, private sector executives, retired senior military figures and intelligence chiefs, current and former Trump officials, Washington lawyers and foreign government officials. Such is the fear of jail, bankruptcy or professional reprisal, that most of these people insisted on anonymity. This was in spite of the fact that many of the same people also wanted to emphasise that Trump would only be restrained by powerful voices opposing him publicly. At times, it has felt like trying to report on politics in Turkey or Hungary.

This, from Ed Luce, is such clarity on what our current crisis has in common with the War on Terror and the Great Recession: the elites suck at assessing the real risks to their comfort.

And they'd rather go down with Trump than be caught opposing him.

Obviously the focus is on Plaid, Reform and Labour but the Conservatives also fell drastically - to 2% and a lost deposit. Hardly a ringing endorsement from the Welsh valleys for their recent turn to the far right

"A recent study in AJPM Focus dared to say what many researchers have been circling for years. COVID-19 can cause immune dysfunction that, in some ways, resembles HIV. Not because it’s the same virus. Not because it follows the same path. But because it leaves behind some of the same wreckage." πŸ‘‡

The PCR positivity map is out, there's been another drop in positivity to 10.3%, and this week all surveillance indicators agree it's dropped.

Adjusting for non-reporting, we make the national average 11.96%.

I strongly believe that some of the media failed to report on the stories of clinically vulnerable children and as a result families received little or no support.

Every time I hear someone who was in government in the UK in 2020 mention lockdown, I immediately remember walking through the streets of Belfast during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, seeing throngs of people packed in restaurants, and thinking this will kill so many.

The problem actually runs much deeper than merely a lack of education in science. The mentality that currently prevails is one in which the truth itself is casually disdained. No amount of education can rectify that problem, which stems from a fundamental absence of collective morality.

Universal basic income. Demonised as encouraging people to sit back and do nothing by those who need people to slave for them for a pittance but the opposite is true. As seen during COVID lock downs it spurs people to rethink their lives and gives ppl the freedom to become creative.

This is where the degradation of science education over the last thirty years has had such a huge impact. My brothers 3 and 6 years younger, went to grammar school and didn't have the same level of science education. They are both totally fine with getting repeat infections! πŸ˜’

If it's that bad post vaccines, what would it be post another infection? I get it, I got both vaccines last Friday & have been wiped out since. On top of trying to cope with unwell dogs & thyroid issues & work, it's meant I've not been coping well this week. I know I'd be much worse if ill though! 😬

Myocarditis and Covid-19 vaccines We look at the link between myocarditis and Covid-19 vaccines

My Mum was telling me that her friend had read the small print on the vaccines, and it said there was a risk of myocarditis. I told her that the risk was five times bigger from being infected with covid!

As we waited
for the meeting to begin
the convener looked around
the mostly empty room
and asked: β€œwhere is everyone?”
so I answered: β€œout sick,”
and the convener nodded,
but a few minutes later
he looked at me
and asked: β€œwhy are you
wearing a mask?”
and I just stared back.

This is Hershey, the terrorist labrador, who is the latest addition to the mad hatter pet party! Today, I'm still wearing yesterday's clothes, because of his mad antics that have left me exasperated. He ate all of the other dogs antibiotics this morning. Thought his antics would give you a smile!!!

Ethics doesn't equal profit. History tells us that if there's an opportunity to avoid ethical and sensible protections, that human's will take the most profitable route.
