he doesn't look good enough to these eyes though aware watching comps doesn't perhaps do any player real justice. small too so a big step up to the prem and really not cheap.

he doesn't look all that good in the comps is my key issue. gabriel mec at an alleged €10m seems more like us. also signing him at 18 would mean he'd count as HG in three years. feels like it's much more us. elias also quite a smol boi. tough step up to the prem, right?

two years younger than roberston when we signed him. also didn't have the luxury of six months out of the first XI while he learned the ropes. it's been a tough season. proper baptism of fire for the new arrivals but finishing third not beyond us against a settled arsenal and much improved city.

they mix it up. i was surprised at aioli in december but, oh boy, was it delicious. phone on the charger will see if i can dig out some snaps for you. they do really lovely wines by the glass - none for johnny though - and we had dessert as well. creme brulΓ©e with booze soaked agen prune & biscuit.

yes! noble rot does an awesome set lunch. last time i was there i had home smoked mackerel on their treacle soda bread to start. then roast chicken with morteau sausage and aioli. i still remember how i ate it with relish. ordered extra spuds to dip in the aioli. i went to the one on greek st.

yes i presume he's being groomed to take over the trent role of bright young talent that can play anywhere. we are linked strongly to a 15 year old at leicester, darren motsi, who will take over the trey role of bright young thing.

dan, you and josh williams are two of the few voices of reason this season. i'm very much of your pragmatic point of view. just wanted to say big up πŸ™Œ

it's almost as if trey has benefitted from a year growing up and playing with our first team 😊

i love szechuan pepper. had a spectacular tongue numbing soup with white peppercorns in amsterdam last year. one of my most memorable meals. was there with seth troxler and he orders pretty much everything on the menu. fair play to him.

another tip: don't fry the curry paste off in oil. take the coconut cream from the top of the can and fry off in that. it gets gloopy and separates. that's how it should be. all that oil on the top means that the curry is cooked. david thompson the don here should you want to read up or youtube.

i only had one lime to hand so supplemented that citrus zing with what i had to hand. i used a pre-made curry paste bought at our asian superstore and followed instructions then zhizzed with kaffir lime leaves - key thai ingredient and you can buy in small freezer packs. makes a big difference.

simmered bunch of coriander stalks in distilled vinegar with heap of sugar & salt. when cooled I added a diced long red chilli, an inch of grated ginger, two diced shallots, half a cucumber and half the coriander leaves. gonna use this to jazz up left red curry leftovers tonight. clean & green πŸ˜‹

we can see society breaking down in real time since the advent of social media. so many stupid people platformed. anti-vaxxing one of the more egregious examples. 'we've had enough of experts!' declare the manipulators.

stick with! they are all rather unlikeable and it took me two goes to engage - like succession. i loathed all the characters and jibbed it until season 2 but then, whoosh, lift off. final ep of season 4 on monday night. the writers directing now and it's been the best season to date.

28.02.2026 08:53 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

have you tried 'industry'? it was billed to me as 'succession but without the jokes,' which seems apt. very, very good. free on the iplayer and four seasons upon which you can feast.
