Tbh it’s all very inspiring— might add some King in Yellow themes to some ocs and art in the future! Or a side project! Who knows! I’m just having fun here.

I will also be going in and reading ‘An Inhabitant of Carcosa’ by Ambrose Bierce that Chambers was inspired by. This rabbit hole also might have been sparked by my recent discovering of the Malevolent podcast. I LOVE it so far.

Been doing some digging into ‘The King in Yellow’ lately. Been super interested in the lore and where the Lovecraftian-esc monster idea came from so I’m currently reading the main 4 stories written by Robert W. Chambers that are to do with the concept.

I’ve always loved the compliment ‘you’re a good drawer’ cause it makes me laugh. Yes! Thank you!!! At least I’m good at being some type of fucked up Ikea furniture. #artist

Mind you also- I have a mid 2015 MacBook Pro that’s not receiving updates anymore, has faulty USB ports, glitches, needs constant restarts and the battery won’t charge correctly 60% of the time- BUT THE DAMN THING TURNS ON! What the fuck HP!?

Cool so my new laptop that’s only 2 years old won’t turn on AT ALL. I’m so stressed and upset ngl. 🥲🫠 It’s a HP Envy x360 and none of the lights are coming on except for the charging light indicator. I can’t even hard reset it either. I don’t have money to repair or replace it either. 😭

Every artist I know is really struggling right now. Financially, emotionally, their confidence, in general.

If you like an artist's work, support them any way you can. Buying their stuff or subscribing to their Patreon is great, but words of encouragement are also incredibly helpful.

It generally means no GenAI. It’s a newer term. People will state if they don’t want a specific subject in a feed like furry or mech art etc. “Human Artists” is to differentiate from GenAI sludge.

Up-to-date BlueSky Crop Aspect Ratio Crop Sizes for Bluesky as of 18 Oct 2024 By default, single images are uncropped. If image is too tall (Exceeds the 1:2 aspect ratio) then it will be cropped. Single images that are too tall may be scaled down but aspect ratio is preserved With two images, both of them share a square aspect ratio of 1:1 For three images, the first image is square (1:1) while the other two are half-squares (2:1) And for 4 images, all of them are 3:2

I came across an outdated guide on image grid sizing crop/proportions for bsky earlier, and I felt it was important to create an updated version! Please use this new guide instead!
