It was simply too nice out today to let the fact we didn't bike to school keep us from biking home from school.

Recently downloaded Uride and Qobuz to replace my US-based ride-sharing and music streaming apps. Any other recommendations in that vein?

It'll add to traffic when parents are forced to drive extra trips or legs of trips to drop their kids off different places.

Have been waiting on a car appointment for 6-weeks, of course today. Roads weren't bad but Kempt sidewalk wasn't touched so that was fun to walk along.

Got my kids home just as the storm started in earnest, hopefully everyone else isn't far behind.

Deleted the Facebook and Instagram apps last week (admittedly kept Messenger and have been on the website since). But uhh I feel like more people would be offended by this feature than would want it?

Swarmed by ducks in Shubie on our commute home yesterday, hadn't seen any really during the cold streak. These ones were definitely looking to be fed which always feels strange.

Makes me wonder what % of collisions happen at weird intersections since it seems like Devonshire/Duffus/Novalea and Windsor/Chebucto/Cunard are featured here.

ya especially while both the slip lane light and the bike/walk lights to cross it are simultaneously red the majority of the time. Have noticed this other places where slip lanes have lights, Portland x Woodlawn comes to mind.

Probably late to this but they reprogrammed the Wyse+Nantucket intersection onto the bridge right?
Feels like green for vehicles turning right from Wyse onto the bridge is longer and the bike light to cross that sliplane is shorter. Easier to get stuck waiting through an extra light cycle now :(

Had never noticed the term "fluid milk" before on a print ad until now and it feels very odd to me. (Also why is the qualifier only added on the english portion)

But also, even more frustrating was the credit card company refusing to refute the charges on her behalf. If they aren't going to be the first line of defense against predatory transactions then there's a lot of people out there who will continue to be scammed.

The page to unsubscribe wasn't linked from the app or their main website in any way, basically unfindable by design. On top of that they were charging her way more than advertised.

Spent some time yesterday unsubscribing my grandmother-in-law from an app which seemed to be designed to prey on the elderly.

Not as good as the empty and bare straight lane beside them from Thistle to the bridge so I opted for the road. They probably would have been fine if pressed to use them.

#hfxws Most things were better this morning though at least one trail we use was completely untouched.
Still took the lane on Waverley, Wyse, Barrington (Northbound against traffic), and Devonshire though.

#hfxws Main roads decent, drivers taking it slow and not many out there. Most of the bike infrastructure is inconsistent, Dartmouth Commons path from Dahlia to Wyse is cleared 40% of the way, then not. Banook MUP clear from Graham's Grove to Nowlan, then also not. Bare road usually best.

Winter is back! Glad to see our ski hills getting an early start this year, hopefully means a long and bountiful season.

Every instance of regret during my bike commutes the last two days has been when I try and use uncleared bike lanes instead of a clear traffic lane next to them.
