Personally, I do not think it makes sense for newspapers to take a stance of ontological relativism. That is the job of humanities professors.(JK humanities professors).

Yeah, it was interesting seeing them react to the Tish James indictment. They actually said the word "tyranny". Yet they are pretty quiet about Trump usurping their powers.

I can't tell if that's snark or a statement of fact.

Reality is that free scientific inquiry is being crushed to death in the US. The future is not guaranteed, though, and we need to keep hope alive to keep fighting imo. Even if - perhaps especially if - the prospects of success are small.

you'd think a prominent news outlet like the New York Times might mention that "antifa" isn't an actual organization in a long story about antifa, but nope!

It is pretty galling that the Supreme Court spent four years telling Biden "you can't do that without Congress" then allowed Trump to seize a once-unthinkable amount of power from Congress within nine months and concentrate law-making authority almost entirely in the executive branch.

Doing politics the right way is when the far-right regime in power memorializes a fallen influencer by terrorizing an academic that the influencer's McCarthyist organization once baselessly singled out for abuse.
