After 5 years in my role in Defra, I'm going to be leaving this June to take up a new role as Director General of Civil Service Reform and Efficiency in the @cabinetofficeuk.bsky.social

Only a couple of years ago did I find out that in the Civil Service you can bring someone in at risk I.e. before the security checks are complete.

Also always more than happy to help anyone in understanding internal coding in the Civil Service (well as far as I understand it at least).

Thinking way too much about this.

I feel that leadership is a mix of all things (insert preferred leadership model/words) at all times and it’s the balance across time that needs to be paid attention too as well as the op model, and that would need to be different if you’re nurturing seedlings or plucking them to make space.

Almost 15 years ago I invested a small amount in a somewhat fanciful project to create a train service run by a co-operative. All these years later the ORR has finally given Go-Op permission to run an actual service. They just need to raise the capital to make it happen. go-op.coop

Mug with a wooden lid, to keep the tea warm while it brewed and we nattered, not seen each other in a while lots to natter about. And a slice of cheese cake in its plastic wrap on a pice of paper. It’s a black sesame base which provided a lovely crunch to a very soft top. There a dob of cream on the top holding up two white chocolate flakes, one has delicate flowers printed on it in red.

Ceak and tea with @noursidawi.bsky.social and @pubstr.at was so nourishing, uplifting and energising.
