Newdad are in town tonight, and it's a gig that I am really looking forward to after seeing an acoustic set by the band when Altar was released. I'm ready for the full electric treatment tonight 😊

Turned out that the single vinyl was on the more expensive end of the spectrum as well Marceline, but the artwork and music sealed the deal 😊

I'm gig bound tonight and tomorrow but should be OK next Saturday or Sunday to listen to All Souls if that suits Robert & Marceline? My copy is unplayed since purchasing in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. Pressed in the 'Netherlands' as well, somewhat appropriately 😊

I'll take your word for it Ricky, but just to be sure I'd best pop along myself tomorrow 😂 Joking aside it's probably the one gig this year that I am most looking forward to. Fingers crossed 🤞 🎶 🔥

Right gents. A little down the road, but I finally made it. Thanks Paul for a great heads up. Very 00's, lots of influences from the time. It's amazing in retrospect that they weren't more widely known outside of their home country.

For sure Ricky, but it's not a wholly radical departure. Great to see the band progressing in some style. I bought the CD as well today, so I'm totally on-board 😊

First few spins on vinyl for me of the band's third and it's clear that it's more than worthy of all the plaudits coming its way. A far less introspective and more adventurous sound. A few headphones listens are definitely called for. Quite addictive 👌 🎶 👍

Discounting the 'new money for old rope' argument, this recent run of David Sylvian reissues are visually stunning. Gone To Earth's double pressing is simply breathtaking. Fifth copy as far as I can tell 😊

First (!) ever spin on vinyl for me of what teenage me totally discounted, but which time has thankfully revealed to be one of my favourite BD albums. Sometimes it's worth waiting to hit the musical sweet spot.

We had the benefit of that extra hour last night, which possibly explains my early start 😊

The Congos review: Jamaican veterans bring the reggae vibes to former Cork church Illness ensured one of The Congos couldn't make it to St Luke's, but the rest of the band still managed a hugely-enjoyable gig as part of the jazz festival

Just to note that The Congos were always legends in Passage, and they truly sealed the deal last night in St. Lukes. 'The Show Must Go On'. Brilliant review of a truly amazing gig here by Des. Forward 🇯🇲 🇮🇪
