For one kid in our neighborhood, I am an eccentric old lady. We have this great kid who cuts our grass, but I hate answering the door. He figured that out, and started sending a $1 request through cash app. If I pay, he knows to come cut the grass—we communicate almost exclusively this way. 🤣

There are little interim things for people with low bandwidth that don’t want to make calls: Vote Forward is letter writing and Postcards to Voters is postcarding for elections in a variety of states including help for special elections outside of your own. You cover supplies and postage. And time.

See, this is actionable. This is something I can do. Stop saying “do more” and come up with ideas of things to do.

I had the same experience recently. I don’t think I’ll ever check back again. The people who won’t leave the platform are isolating themselves and that’s kind of on them at this point, imo.
