Leonardo José Colmenares Solórzano, a 31-year-old Venezuelan, wants the world to know that he was tortured over four months in a Salvadoran prison.

He said guards stomped on his hands, poured filthy water into his ears and threatened to beat him.

I'm also fairly certain that jeopardizing the US food supply at a national level constitutes a fairly significant national security issue.

To be blunt, because they want everyone there to die. They want the land.

Yeah there ain't no way in hell those would be a lower carbon footprint per person than public transit, even if they do actually exist somewhere.

This is an excellent, and truly terrifying, analysis of one of the most shocking and horrifying developments we've yet seen from the federal regime.

There's no technically viable way to make this happen. And if you focus on banning access to the most mainstream, most moderated forms of social media, you're just going to drive them to fringe stuff that pops up that isn't on the ban radar. This is like the "war on drugs", destined to fail badly.

Totally understandable. I honestly wasn't sure how much reporting work you were potentially doing from there, but yeah if it was a full on 2.5 years off (or even mostly unpaid), that's tough on the finances of almost anyone. I'm sure it's heartbreaking leaving the folks you've built bonds with. :(

That's the one, yep.

A perfect example of how road design to slow speeds *and* enforcement focused on income-based consequences go hand-in-hand to force drivers to operate more safely. You can't just ask sternly and put up flashing "Your Speed" signs and hope for the best.

Haha, and one more I forgot, the 10 episode UK Day of the Jackal TV series was also very well done, with a great cast.

Oh also the 8 episodes of the UK series Taboo with Tom Hardy. I really hope he finds time to go back and make more of it at some point, it deserves more.

Also not sure if it's your thing, but the few seasons we got of Star Trek Lower Decks was great (think Futurama meets Star Trek).
