Mixed, I am optimistic that the profession keeps improving and more and more are using cog sci. But on the other hand funding, lack of government will and the creep of vague initiatives (oracy for example)

Found that students weren’t actually listening to my blank canvas explanations, with some drifting. So want to improve on that. Also doing more targeted retrieval using MCQ quizzes

I currently ask I would estimate 10-20 questions a lesson (not including C and C and MWB checks for understanding). I am trying to up that to make sure students are actually listening during explanations, using Raichura’s model of checks for listening.
