These private grant orgs really said, “We hear that you need more support right now with the funding crisis. We’re actually going to suspend our fellowships until things settle down.”

So disappointed in the groups that were supposed to be leaders in the future of science.

Finding out HHMI is canceling the Hanna H. Gray Fellows competition is heartbreaking. Especially since if they decide to hold it next year, I’ll no longer be eligible

We showed that influenza virus strains circulating the year you’re born imprint your immune system and prime you to respond better to closely related strains. In this case, folks born when H1N1 or H2N2 were circulating have antibodies that recognize H5N1 t.co/kPLUcV2975

So excited to announce my second publication from my postdoc, “Immune history shapes human antibody responses to H5N1 influenza viruses”, that was published today in Nature Medicine! (Link in next tweet). Truly a group effort between our lab and our collaborators.
