We offer practical steps for truly weight-inclusive, stigma-free care across clinical practice, research, and policy.

If we want equitable, effective treatment, we must dismantle the systems that created the harm.

New paper! We show how diet culture & weight stigma are baked into eating disorder treatment—leading to missed diagnoses in higher-weight people, BMI-based denial of care, thin-centric programs, and clinicians unintentionally reinforcing fear of weight gain.

Start date: Negotiable (ideally 10/1/2025 or soon after). Can be hybrid or remote. This role will have guaranteed funding for 1 year and will start as a Research Scientist with an opportunity to be promoted to Assistant Research Professor after year 1, contingent on funding and performance.

The role is ideal for a mission-driven, team-oriented clinical scientist who may not want to independently direct a lab as sole PI, but is eager to take on a collaborative leadership role to propel our lab's scientific mission, by serving as PI/MPI/Co-I on grant submissions/large-scale projects.
