Drove a bit further than normal to check out a new trail today. Great views but I never really settled into a groove on the run so it felt like a struggle the whole way.

I didn't want to run last night. I even rationalized some excuses why I didn't have to. But I somehow mustered the willpower to go anyway.
I'm always glad I ran. I don't know why it's so hard sometimes to get out the door.

I feel pretty lucky to have these trails available as my after-work hikes and runs, though I will admit I do sometimes miss the big trees, dense forests, and all the green of the east coast trails.

I'm thinking I'll have to keep Facebook to keep in touch with some extended family but there's now enough of my friends on here that I'm going to spend most of my limited social time here now.

I really can't believe Zuck saw what happened to Twitter and said "yeah, we should do that too."

Basic was my intro to the hobby too. I'm curious to break out my old rule book and give it a read. I don't remember much other than the cover art.

Ha! No! I enjoy playing that character because he's the opposite of me (except for the clueless buffoon part). Also, germaphobe me vs the petri dish of STDs I'm sure Johnny is makes me queasy.

More like, I'd like to vacation in a future setting with no more risk (arguably less risk) than I have now.

The germaphobe in me would have to rule out anything pre-modern and the coward in me would rule out anything too interesting. I'm not sure what that leaves. Maybe Star Trek Adventures, but only on earth?

I miss your podcasts. I haven't really gotten into any since you stopped.
