A very basic sketch of an outfit that has a short vest-like region, looser upper sleeves, vambraces and a small hand guard, as well as the jiāo lǐng yòu rèn (交领右衽) rule of hànfú (汉服). Also features a waist-wrap with a jade token, and trails coming out the front and back. Baggy pants and tight boots.
Still working on it. Fixed some things I wasn't happy with. Second image is me trying to figure out the outfit / apparel design I wanted to go with for the one on the left.

An updated WIP that now has two characters in it. One is semi-leaping for the other, trying to reach his face in a caress, while the second character is touching the other's cheek with one hand, and holding onto the outstretched hand in the other. They both look anguished.
